Words that make you hungry
Each crêpe gets a short line before its name. "Warm. Golden. Quietly irresistible." It sets the mood before the details.
Restaurant ordering
A menu that reads like a magazine.
Maison Artelier is a crêpe shop idea, set in Colorado Springs. It is a concept, not a real shop. I made it to show how a small food business could take orders on its own site, in its own style, without the clutter.
Small food shops tend to end up on the same ordering apps. Every menu looks the same, and the care that goes into the food gets lost in a list.
I wanted to see how simple ordering could be if it was made for one shop and one menu.
Each crêpe gets the whole stage: a big photo, a short line, what goes in it. You flip through them like pages.
Three for $9.99, then $3.75 each. Shown up front, so nobody has to work it out.
It only shows up once you add something. Then it tells you what you have and what it costs.
Type, colour and tone are written down, so a menu card or a sign can match the site.
Each crêpe gets a short line before its name. "Warm. Golden. Quietly irresistible." It sets the mood before the details.
The order button says "Add 2 more" until you reach three, then "Place order". You always know what is left to do.
Arrows, small photos and names all lead to the same place. Use whichever feels natural.
The small print says it plainly: fresh batter, made to order, order early. People know what to expect before they pay.
Make the deal easy to understand. One clear price, one clear next step. If a customer has to do math or hunt for a button, some of them leave. The ones who stay are happier for it.
Want ordering that feels like your shop, not someone else's app? Let's talk about it.
